Melville Middle East (MME) Successfully Delivers 5 major exhibitions in 3 weeks; ADIPEC, INDEX, BIG5 PMV, BETT and BFE*

Overview
ADIPEC’s breakdown and INDEX’s build overlapped by one day. Consequently, we faced the challenge of starting the INDEX build,

whilst breaking down and mobilising the required material from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, without affecting the build/break schedule and service delivery.
The Big5 show overlapped with BETT and BFE and the events were in different cities which added a further challenge.

Objectives

1. The objective was to manage and deliver the highest level of service to over 1000 shell scheme exhibitors and over 3000 space only electrical orders.
2. To deliver over 14000 square meters for the 5 events combined, within a short timeframe and without it affecting the quality of service received.

Solutions

1. MME invested $1million to increase the Sodem, Smartwire and Furniture stock level and warehousing capabilities.
2. Our customer service centre increased the resources allocated to the Middle East by adding
3. two Arabic speaking customer service employees to the existing 14 customers service agents. 
4. The service agents were assigned to work overtime to cover the high level of customer enquiries.
5. Two additional accounting controllers were employed within the MME accounts department to handle the high volume of invoicing.
6. More resources were added to the operational team by combining the MME team with the UK team for the 5 shows. 
7. The UK team helped to provide onsite management support and assist with operational and electrical planning.
8. MME and UK Sodem builders worked together to deliver the fastest shell scheme build.
9. Increased the number of in-house technicians and labour.
